Muhlenberg North High
School was opened in 1990 after the merger of seven county high schools
into two high schools. Muhlenberg North High School consisted
primarily of students from Bremen High School, Central City High School,
Graham High School, Muhlenberg Central and some students from
Greenville High School.
From 1990 to 2007, Joe Allen was
Director of Bands at Muhlenberg North High School.
Mr. Allen retired from
teaching at the end of the 2006 - 2007 school year.
Troy Stovall came to
Muhlenberg North in 1995 as Assistant Director and Muhlenberg North
Middle School Head Director. Mr. Stovall was named Director of
Bands at Muhlenberg North High School in 2007.
The band program at
Muhlenberg North Marching Band was very successful, including 12 top
five finishes and 7 state finals appearances at the KMEA State Marching
Band Championship. The Muhlenberg North Concert Band received
distinguished ratings at KMEA Third District Concert Festival for 18
consecutive years from 1990 to 2008. The Concert Band also had the
distinct honor of being selected to perform at the Kentucky Music
Educators Association Conference on 3 separate occasions in 2000, 2004
and 2007.
